Narrative

On 17 May 1956 at 1945 PDT, an engineer for Bendix Corp and six other witnesses in Los Angeles observed a delta-wing object with red flashing stripes, standing still at high altitude. The object never moved during the 20-minute observation period. Visual observation included binoculars. By 2348Z observers believed the object to be a star. The 669th ACWRON director on duty (Lt J.C. Lewis) recommended no action, noting it was perhaps just another UFOB.
