Narrative

On 1 November 1955 (01/0130Z) a UFOB was sighted at Soledad, California and Oakland, California. The 4602d AISS Headquarters initially authorized follow-up investigation by Detachment 1. After Detachment 1 contacted the Oakland Filter Center, it was revealed that the four primary observers were inmates at Soledad Prison. In view of observer credibility concerns, the distance involved, and observer locations, the investigation was canceled. No balloons believed responsible.
