Narrative
On 12 February 1956 at 0745Z, Lt. Comm. W.J. Dixon of Bremerton Shipyard observed a single round object 5 ft across directly overhead. The object had a round outline with a streak on acceleration. Object commenced rapid acceleration and vanished toward the horizon after 100 seconds at approximately 633 mph. Sky was clear up to overcast at 1,200 ft scattered/1,600 ft overcast. Reported via 25th Air Division (D) McChord AFB. Conclusion was possibly aircraft jet afterburner and exhaust.
