Narrative
Between 0305Z and 0308Z on 26 September 1956, multiple observers around the Lubbock-Oklahoma City Texas area, including four B-25 instructor pilots in flight and two airway operations specialists in Lubbock Tower, observed a brilliant light. Reports placed the object at the intersection of a line due south of Oklahoma City and due east of Lubbock, Texas. The object appeared overhead and dropped vertically. Reports varied from abrupt disappearance to burning out. Duration was one to three seconds. Lubbock Municipal Tower reported hearing two unidentified jet aircraft reporting the object to other stations.
