Narrative

At 2300Z 29 July 1956 in Bellingham WA, a man on a beach first sighted a silver oval object straight up. Object gradual left to right movement, then stationary. Observer looked away and it was gone when he looked back. Duration 1 hour 20 minutes. Ground visual with field glasses. Weather balloons released from Tatoosh and Everett at 2100Z. RCAF out of Vancouver intercepted and made positive ID as weather balloon.
