Narrative
At 0815Z, 3 August 1952, an airman returning to Adrian, Michigan from Manitou Beach observed a brilliant white light flash past his car heading east. The object was south of his position about 300 feet from the road, traveling at approximately 25-30 feet altitude parallel to the ground. He watched it for about 2 seconds during which it traveled about 200 feet before disappearing. Approximately 40 seconds later, a second identical object appeared 300-400 feet up the road, dove to 25-30 feet altitude, traveled horizontally 400-500 feet, and disappeared. Total observation of second object was 5-6 seconds. No farm houses, no other motorists. The 661st AC&W Squadron at Selfridge AFB indicated no unusual radar observations.
