Narrative
A commercial airline pilot aboard American Airlines DC-7 flight TUL-SFO at 26,000 feet, 260 TAS, observed an unknown aircraft over Thurmon, Colorado at 0126Z. The object was traveling southeast bound from the Sangre de Cristo Range. The Captain (Salute 32) identified the object as a possible B-47 at 17,000 feet IFR conditions. Weather: 9,000 scattered, 30,000 broken. AISOP concluded the immediate identification by the experienced pilot precludes UFOB classification; resolved as aircraft of unknown type.
