Narrative

On 13 June 1956 at 2011 PDST, observers saw an oval incandescent object southeasterly about 4-5 miles, 60 degrees above horizon. Object was at 1,000 to 2,000 feet altitude moving very slowly. A second sighting occurred at 0427Z. The possibility of a burning aircraft was checked but no emergencies could be uncovered. Observed by ground visual and binoculars.
