Narrative

On 24 July 1955 at approximately 1300 PDT, civilian Barbara Allen (age 23, a piano teacher in Sherman Oaks, California) observed an elliptical silver object passing overhead from north to south. The object moved faster than a jet, was observed for ten to fifteen seconds, and faded out of sight. Angle of elevation from observer was 45 degrees; the sighting was ground-visual only, with no associated radar contact noted. The 4602D AISS concluded insufficient data for evaluation.
