Narrative

On 9 July 1955 at 0845Z (night), a civilian factory worker at Mira Loma, California observed a round silver-dollar-sized white meteor-like object. Object was very high, traveling east at 2 miles distance, then exploded and faded out. Total observation 45 seconds. Visibility 10 miles. Investigation noted similarity of description and timing with UFOBs 203 and 204, suggesting probable astronomical (meteorite). Sighting reported by 669th ACWRON, Port Hueneme CA. Controller John C. Andrews suggested probably astronomical, lack of detail prevented further analysis.
