Narrative

On 22 July 1955 at 2230Z (1530 PDT), a male civilian vacationer from New Orleans, age 45-52, observed a long, silver, wingless object slowly moving from east to west over Santa Maria, California from above 10,000 feet, observed overhead at QE-3558. The observer took photographs. The 669th ACWRON at Port Hueneme, California filed the report and noted the possibility the object was a U.S. Navy blimp. Major Pegler, Commander, signed. The 4602D AISS requested negatives and the observer's contact info.
