Narrative

At 0617Z on 9 August 1956, a civilian funeral director in Liberty, Indiana observed square blue objects in trail formation moving very high and very fast in a southwest course. The last object in trail emitted a blue haze exhaust that illuminated the sky. The objects went out of sight after 18 seconds. The observer was personally known to Captain Wilfred L. Bias who would vouch for his reliability. 1LT Edward Larson concluded the object was believed to be jet aircraft.
