Narrative

On 19 March 1953 at approximately 2105 EST, Mr. Wiley of Cape Vincent, New York, observed an unidentified flying object northwest of his location at low altitude. The object was described as a ball of fire with an orange border, hanging in the sky and moving in a northerly direction. Object was observed approximately 8 or 9 times over 4 hours, each sighting lasting 15-30 minutes, and could be seen through the clouds. Three other witnesses corroborated the observation. The object was not picked up on radar at the reporting station. Weather was 8,000 overcast with winds Southwest at 11.
