Narrative

On 3 January 1955 at approximately 0140 EST, a guard on Post #4 at the offshore end of the supply pier at Cheatham Annex Naval Supply Center, Williamsburg, Virginia reported observing an unidentified aerial phenomenon. The observer used the U.S. Air Force Technical Information Sheet questionnaire to report a bright object visible against a no-trace-of-daylight sky. The sighting was reported to the Richmond Filter Center at 0415, and the 77th AC&W Squadron at Cape Charles AFS, Virginia forwarded the report to ADC Ent AFB.
