Narrative
On 1 February 1956 at 0315Z near Alderwood Manor, Washington (~4 mi east of Lynwood, near Seattle), a civilian woman looked out her window and observed a single crescent-shaped white-yellow object, dime-sized, very brilliant. The object was at 45 degrees elevation, 6-8 degrees azimuth, disappeared westerly by fading. Observation 1 hour 30 minutes via visual with binoculars. Reporting headquarters concluded probably astronomical (Venus) given the duration, position, and course of Venus.
