Narrative

On 2 August 1956 a ground observer in Lancaster, Texas reported a bright white basketball-shaped object spotted out a window. The object was at 35 to 40 degrees elevation at 188 degrees bearing initially, moving on a straight path from east to south at 10 to 20 degrees at 170 degrees. It was observed for six to eight hours through the night and dawn, fading away at sunrise. Reported via the 745th ACWRON Duncanville, Texas.
