Narrative

On 6 July 1956 at 1437Z, a large white revolving sphere was reported in Euclid, Ohio area moving northeast at 5,000 to 6,000 feet altitude (5-6 angels). The object was tracked both visually (ground-visual) and via AN/FPS-8 ground electronic radar. Two local fighters were diverted to the Cleveland Lake Shore area but made no visual contact. The 662D ACWRON at Brookfield AFSTA submitted the report. Concluded to be probably a balloon, drifting with the wind.
