Narrative

On 17 April 1952 at approximately 1600 hours, a civilian driving east on Michigan State Highway 28 observed a round, pink, stationary object about 8 miles to the north at an estimated altitude of 5,000-8,000 feet. The witness watched it for about 60 seconds while continuing to drive. The sky was clear and 50 degrees F. The preparing officer (1st Lt James E. Delaney, Tenth AF) suggested the object could have been a weather balloon, kite, friendly aircraft, sun reflection from cloud, lake, or mist over St. Mary's River Falls.
