Narrative
At 0320Z on 10 May 1956 over Colorado Springs, Colorado, a 34-year-old civilian landlord saw a small fluorescent round object with undefined round glow moving very fast in a straight line at 40-50 degrees elevation/azimuth. The light went out abruptly after 3 seconds. A loud report was heard 30 seconds after object disappeared. Ground-visual only. Weather clear with slight ground haze. Investigation by 4602D AISS (S/Sgt DeRudder and Lt Alexander) revealed cause was a meteor.
