Narrative
On 9 April 1955 at 1202Z (pre-dawn) a civilian observer in Miralona, California sighted a round object resembling a silver dollar with a reddish tint inside and white outside while scanning the sky. The object was at 45 degrees elevation at 180 degrees azimuth, disappeared to the south over approximately 40 minutes. Weather was clear. Investigation by Flight 1-C of 4602d AISS noted weather balloons were in the area at the time, and concluded sighting was probably weather balloons.
