Narrative

On 29 August 1955 at approximately 1820 PST (0120Z 30 Aug), a 27-year-old lifeguard at Hermosa Beach, California observed three pinhead-sized silver star-like objects very high above his post; one of the three appeared orange. Objects were watched for six to eight minutes via binoculars. Weather clear with light southwest winds. Headquarters concluded that the description and duration indicated possibly balloon or balloon cluster activity.
