On 19 August 1955 at 0454Z, USAF S/Sgt Ney Arthur V. of the 4772nd GOC at Seattle was watching stars when he observed a round yellow-white match-head-sized object on a wobbly course at 360-180 degrees azimuth for 1.5 minutes using a 57-power lens telescope.
