On the night of 11 November 1962, schoolboy David Alexander of 9508 Penn Oak Drive, Silver Spring, Maryland, and a friend, Jeff (9632 Brunett Street), allegedly observed and photographed (time exposure) a UFO described as a streak of light that travelled horizontally across the sky, turned upward, and exploded. The sighting was telephonically reported to the District Office on 11 April 1963.
