Narrative
On 15 August 1954 at 2200Z, Major William W. (AO 787595) of Gary AFB Texas observed from his aircraft (T-33, 245 degrees heading, 410 knots) a single oblong dark blue silhouette object at his flight level on a slight collision angle. Angle of elevation 30 degrees azimuth 60 degrees initially. The object appeared to fly formation with his aircraft, took a 45 degree angle away, then turned back into flight path and crossed in front before disappearing. Sky condition clear, ceiling unlimited, visibility 10 miles.
