On 8 August 1956 at 0325Z near Gower, Missouri, an unidentified red-glowing object was observed overhead by six adult civilian witnesses for 23 minutes. The object's flight path varied in all directions, stopping at times and leaving with tremendous bursts of speed. Reported by a 42-year-old male resident to Lt. Levine at the St. Joseph, Missouri GOC Filter Center. Weather clear, no thunderstorms.
