Narrative

First sighted at 2357Z on 27 September 1954 and last sighted at 0803Z (28 Sep). The observer first saw the object while driving home, then continued with high-powered field glasses. Object was rectangular with rough edges and an oval smoother center; appeared elongated when changing direction. Initial heading S-SE then changed to SW. Clear weather; clear night.
