Narrative
On 19 December 1956 at 0930Z (night), S/Sgt Peter L. Brichant of the 2000th AACS Squadron observed a round dime-sized yellow and green object from the Stewart AFB control tower. The object emitted sparks and looked like a meteor parallel to earth. It then made a left turn and turned green before fading. Observed for two seconds. Several distant sites also observed the object. The preparing officer concluded the object was too high and bright to be aircraft and was likely a meteor.
