Narrative
On 11 December 1955 at approximately 06:45 MST, Captain O.K. Reany of the 695th Fighter Squadron reported sighting an object about 10 miles north of Colorado Springs. He described it as definitely a meteor traveling west on heading 270, green with orange tail, persistence much stronger than usual; the object set behind the horizon at about 30 degrees down. A second observation near Denver showed the object size of the moon to the northwest before it disappeared. Headquarters concluded was astronomical meteor.
