Narrative
On 19 April 1956 at 0305Z, observer in F-89 at 25,000 ft observed an object ahead and moving from side to side. Object appeared above pilot's altitude and faded out after 40 minutes. Due to duration, change of colors, time of day (dusk), clear weather, and position of Venus, headquarters opined this sighting was possibly astronomical (Venus or Capella).
