ATSOC 0073 (two UFOB reports) — 1956-10-26 — Pueblo, Colorado (38 deg 15 N / 104 deg 36 W)
Narrative
At 0118Z on 26 October 1956, civilian observers in Pueblo, Colorado witnessed ten bird-like objects with bluish-green lights in a V formation (five per side) at 80 degrees elevation. The objects came out of a cloud, moved slowly NE to SW on a straight-level flight path, and lights got dimmer and faded after approximately ten seconds. A second sighting at approximately 0245Z that night showed twenty to thirty similar objects in V formation, faster than a jet, emerging from clouds and fading into hazy clouds in five to eight seconds. The Assistant Operations Control Officer concluded both were probably high-flying migratory birds.
