Narrative

On 15 July 1955 at 0200Z (night) a large round blue object with a long bright cone-shaped tail (bluish-greenish-white fire) was sighted by multiple observers in Orlando, Palm Beach, and Miami, Florida. The object appeared at 1000-1500 feet altitude, traveling north-west at very high speed in straight course, visible for 5-10 seconds before disappearing east to west. Sky conditions were clear and unlimited. Concluded probably astronomical: a meteorite, based on the description and multi-city distribution.
