Narrative

At approximately 2235 EDST on 16 August 1953, seven airmen of the 912th AC&W Squadron near Ramore, Ontario observed a diamond/pie-shaped solid orange object low on the horizon at approximately 260 degrees azimuth. T Sgt Richard Hallstrom first reported what appeared to be a forest fire to A/2C Lysakowski, who instructed him to call operations. Four airmen at the hill operations site witnessed the object. It disappeared for a short moment, then reappeared weaker before fading away for good. Observation lasted approximately 5 minutes. No radar targets observed. Weather was clear, moon was not out. All witnesses considered reliable.
