Narrative
Observer in the Santa Monica, California area looked up and saw two flat, circular, ping-pong-ball-sized, grey-blue bright objects in trail formation, heading northeast at 15-20,000 feet altitude. The objects passed out of sight in 3-5 seconds in straight flight. Weather was clear. Senior Director, 1st Lt. Worthie M. Rauscher, concluded probably a falling star or a comet with a tail.
