ATSS-UFOB-190-55 / ACCMO 5-737 — 1955-06-24 — Camp Poh-Tok, Maryland (23 miles north of Baltimore, GEOREF
Narrative
At 0330Z on 24 June 1955, a 15-year-old civilian student at Camp Poh-Tok, Maryland (23 miles north of Baltimore) observed a round white object the size of a quarter that became red when moving. At first the observer believed it was a star until it began moving and changed color. The object increased in size with energy for one minute. A USAF jet (track P-19) was plotted in the same area at the time of sighting. Due to atmospheric conditions following heavy thunderstorms, the 4602D AISS concluded the UFOB and track P-19 were one and the same: Probably Aircraft.
