Narrative
At 1725-1735 EST on 5 April 1956, Mrs. Mathison and her three children, leaving their Newport, Rhode Island residence to go shopping, observed a single silver circular object at 45 degree elevation to the north. The object approached, then appeared to whirl into haze upon disappearance after five minutes. Observed by ground-visual and with binoculars. Reported via the US Naval Underwater Ordnance Station. Concluded as possibly a pibald weather balloon by 4602D AISS.
