Narrative

On 23 July 1955 at 2355Z, a single round object compared in size to a star but brighter, was observed near Seattle, Washington. The object moved up and down and sideways for approximately 30 minutes, observed visually. Source area noted as heavy balloon activity. T/Sgt W. Evered of Det 1, Seattle was identified. Headquarters concluded the sighting was probably generated by a balloon.
