Narrative
On 3 March 1955 at 0201Z (just prior to sunset), the pilot of American Airlines Flight 637 sighted a long object with no contrails from his aircraft 6 miles east of McCarran Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada. The object was at bearing 210 degrees from the aircraft, 45-50 miles away, and changed position without apparent change of flight altitude. Reported to Nellis AFB Tower via Capt Lester (Airdrome Officer) and relayed to March Flight Service Center.
