On 5 July 1955 at 1757Z, an observer in Gulliver, Michigan reported a single oblong silver object approximately 15 ft long with no wings, markings, exhaust, or sound, moving east. Object was reported first very low and later high, observed for two minutes. Weather very clear with visibility 15+. Reported via 555th AC&W SQ Calumet, Michigan. Intel officer noted possibly weather balloon. Headquarters concluded source's description fit balloon characteristics.
