Narrative

On 4 March 1955 around 0321-0349R, an observer at 225th Street and Broadway, Manhattan, looking south toward the Empire State Building, reported a luminous round object the size of the full moon. Two objects appeared intermittently, one above the other, for approximately 20 minutes. The report was made via NYPD to the duty officer, with corroboration from USMC personnel at 90 Church Street. Conclusion was cloud reflections from searchlight activity at New York Harbor.
