Narrative

At 0915Z 23 April 1955, copilot of Boeing Stratocruiser at 25,000 ft observed an object that appeared as a star clearing the wing from rear on right side. Object remained level at same altitude, on parallel course of 075 degrees, traveling about five times faster than a jet aircraft. Copilot stated object disappeared into higher part of overcast into the distance after 5-7 seconds. Crew had previously seen jet interceptors and meteors. Possibly astronomical.
