Narrative
On 5 March 1956 at 2255Z a 16-year-old student on observer post in the Columbus, Ohio area reported a single round, two-inch (arm's length) yellow object. The object was stationary, getting brighter and dimmer, with no exhaust. Observed for 15 minutes via ground-visual with binoculars. Thunderstorms were in the Columbus area. The 664th AC&W Squadron concurred the sighting was a reflection from the beacon at a nearby airport.
