Narrative

On the evening of 17 September 1956 between 1910 and 1930, six witnesses from Crane Village reported two objects several miles to the northeast that would float around then stand still. Each object had a bright light changing color from white to red to green. A large aircraft approached the two objects and banked toward one, then turned away in a dive toward the other about 2000 feet away; the two objects maneuvered as if chasing one another, then sped away to the north faster than any aircraft. No noise was heard, no vapor trails were seen. From a Bloomfield farm, Mr. and Mrs. ___ saw two objects approximately three miles high over the northeast section of the Depot for about 30 minutes. The Legal Officer's analysis suggested possible explanation by reflective effects of nearby transport aircraft engines.
