Narrative

At 1810Z on what appears to be 2 August 1956, an observer at Universal Electric in Colorado Springs, Colorado saw a round silver-dollar-sized very bright white object with a 'sort of bouncy' motion and varying brightness, observed for about four minutes through ground visual under clear conditions (ceiling 16,000 broken, visibility 15 miles, 7/10 cloud cover). An inversion to the east at 10,000 ft was noted along with the morning star (Venus) being very bright at about 40-45 degrees elevation. The S/Sgt Cavil comment noted 'Star Neg'.
