Narrative

On 1 November 1955 between 0115Z and 0145Z, lights described as red, amber, green and white were observed in central Florida. A B-47 type aircraft and a KC-97 type aircraft were refueling in central Florida at the same time. No other aircraft were airborne from MacDill AFB. Investigation by Flight 2-C of the 4602D AISS attributed the lights to aerial refueling operations occurring at approximately 15,000 feet.
