JEDLS 1H — Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (3579 Hill Creek Circle / Sears-R
Narrative
Two yellow-orange circular objects were sighted at 45 degrees elevation NNE from Philadelphia. The objects joined into one, which remained in sight at the time of the message. Willow Grove Naval Air Station tower controlman Francis J. Johns observed the single UFO and stated he had never seen anything similar unless it was a balloon, which he doubted. The Linden NJ Police Chief Gerald Scala received over two dozen phone calls about the object and concluded it was a star. Air defense scrambled and an interceptor identified the UFO as a star at 0304Z (acft No 535).
