Narrative

On 19 May 1953, six USAF airmen at Ellington AFB observed an unidentified bright light, initially thought to be a celestial phenomenon. The University of Houston meteorology department was consulted and indicated the object was not a visible planet at that time of year and did not match meteor characteristics. The reporting NCO concluded the airmen had observed some unidentified object whose nature was a matter of conjecture.
