On 25 February 1955 between 2055 and 2110 EST, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Cambridge of Presque Isle, Maine observed an unidentified milky-white light near Westfield, Maine. The light alternated to pink-red for short intervals and was 2-3 times larger than the brightest star, proceeding north then northwest. Three stationary observations from different vantage points along U.S. Highway 1, with the light at an azimuth of approximately 275 degrees, before it gradually dimmed and faded to dark red.
