On 25 October 1956 at 1340Z over Hollywood, California, a civilian Miss observer (4771 GOC West Los Angeles) initially thought the object an aircraft. It was round, dime-sized, color-changing, resembling a star. The sun blanked it out at the closing. Duration 35 minutes via ground-visual with binoculars. Clear conditions, 20-mile visibility. Reporting officer believed object to be a star or airway beacon, abnormally seen. No discernable radar return.
