Narrative
From 1030Z to 1200Z on 17 August 1955, a female observer on an open highway NW of Las Vegas, Nevada, reported a pear-shaped object with intense bluish white light. Object appeared to hover in front of her auto, then rise and go over the auto, appearing on all sides at various times over a period of 1.5-2 hours. Object eventually disappeared behind mountain range. Maj Curvin E. Miller Jr noted observer was apparently sincere and intelligent but raised possibility of paranoiac symptoms. No activity in danger areas R/271 or P/275 to explain sighting.
