Narrative
On 4 September 1956 at approximately 0506Z and again at 0852Z, Sgt Mendoza of the Colorado Guard at Rock Flats observed a single round pea-sized white light west of observation point at about 10,000 feet altitude. Object dropped slightly from original altitude, moved north to south with no maneuvers, then disappeared behind intersection of highways 72 and 92. Sighting lasted approximately 20 minutes. Also observed by Sgt Manver of the Aurora Colorado Guard. Headquarters duty officer assessed as probably meteors.
